When it won't play ball

Founding members — getting started

初めて起動する時の流れ(Windowsの警告が出ても大丈夫)/ First time opening the app (Windows warnings are normal)

下から順番に、1つずつゆっくり進めてください。全部そのままで大丈夫です。
Follow these one at a time, in order. Everything below is expected — nothing is broken.

  1. 1welcomeメールのGet Set Upボタン、またはこのページのSetupから.exeファイルをダウンロードして開く。
  2. 2ブラウザに「一般的にダウンロードされていません」という警告が出ることがあります → これはウイルス対策ソフトではなく、Chrome標準の機能です。ファイル名の部分(または横の「...」メニュー)をクリックして保持するを選べばダウンロードが完了します。
  3. 3「WindowsによってPCが保護されました」という青い画面が出る → これも正常です、怖がらないでください(PITWALLは個人開発アプリなのでWindowsが一旦警告を出すだけです)。
  4. 4その青い画面の中の、小さい文字詳細情報をクリック。
  5. 5出てきた実行ボタンをクリック → アプリが開き、アクセスコードの入力画面が一瞬見える。
  6. 6頻繁にアップデートしているため、紫色の「アップデートが必要です」という画面が出ることがあります → ⬇ Download the latest versionボタンをクリック。
  7. 7新しい.exeがダウンロードされる(②のブラウザ警告が再度出ることがあります、同じように「保持する」を選んでください)→ 今開いているアプリを閉じて、今ダウンロードした新しい方のexeを実行する。
  8. 8もう一度アプリが開く → welcomeメールに書いてあるアクセスコードPITWALL-〇〇〇-XXXXXXの形)をコピーして貼り付け。
  9. 9認証するボタンをクリック → PITWALLに入れます!

  1. 1Download the .exe from the Get Set Up button in your welcome email, or from Setup on this site, and open it.
  2. 2Your browser may warn that the file "isn't commonly downloaded" → this is Chrome's built-in Safe Browsing check, not antivirus software. Click the file entry (or its "..." menu) and choose Keep to finish the download.
  3. 3A blue screen says "Windows protected your PC" → this is also completely normal, don't worry. It's just Windows being cautious about a small indie app.
  4. 4On that blue screen, click the small text link More info.
  5. 5A Run anyway button appears — click it. The app opens and you'll briefly see the access code screen.
  6. 6Because we ship updates often, a purple "Update Required" screen may appear → click ⬇ Download the latest version.
  7. 7A new .exe downloads (the browser warning from step 2 may appear again — choose Keep the same way) → close the app you have open now, and run the newly downloaded one instead.
  8. 8The app opens again → copy your access code (looks like PITWALL-NAME-XXXXXX) from your welcome email and paste it in.
  9. 9Click Verify → you're in!

How do I download and install PITWALL?

After you subscribe, your welcome email has a download link — or grab it anytime from your welcome page. It's a single Windows app: just run the .exe, nothing else to install. Then see Setup for push-to-talk and choosing your engineer.

I paid but can't log in

Open the app and choose member login, then enter the same email you used at checkout. We email you a login link — open it on the same PC (check Spam / Promotions if it's slow). Access codes are only for invited testers; paying members log in by email.

"Account doesn't match" / access denied

The email in the app must match your subscription email exactly. If you checked out with a different address, log in with that one. Still stuck? Email omoraypitwall@gmail.com and we'll sort it fast.

It won't start until I update

That's the built-in update gate — we've shipped a newer build. Click the purple download button, run the new .exe, and you're current. Your login carries over.

Free trial, billing & cancelling

How do I refer friends and earn discounts?

Check your welcome email for your personal referral code, or use the link there to open your Share PITWALL page — ready-made posts for X, Instagram, and TikTok with your code already filled in. You get 33% off per friend who joins (100% off at 3), applied once their trial converts to a paid month. (Your separate app access code is personal to you — don't give it to anyone. It only works on one device at a time, so if someone else uses it, you get locked out.)

Bridge

Windows blocked the .exe ("unknown publisher")

Normal for an indie app. Click More info → Run anyway. The Bridge only reads iRacing memory and talks to your own browser — nothing leaves your PC except your voice chat.

The black window closed instantly

Run it again and read the top line. If it mentions a missing module, re-download a fresh copy from Setup. If antivirus quarantined it, allow the file.

My engineer says "no telemetry / bridge not connected"

Three things must all be true:

1 — The Bridge window is open and says Waiting for iRacing... or iRacing CONNECTED.
2 — iRacing is running and you're on track (menus don't send data).
3 — The status bar at the top of the app shows 🟢 LIVE.

If the bar is 🟡, iRacing isn't on track yet. If 🔴, the Bridge isn't running.

Lap times work but no positions / traffic / strategy

Those only fire in race sessions — in practice there are no positions to call. Jump into a race and they wake up.

It resets every time I pit

Make sure you're on the latest Bridge — older builds reset on brief pauses. Update with the command below, then restart it.

Updating the Bridge

How do I update to the latest version?

Easiest: re-download the latest .exe — it's always current.

The black window's top line shows a BUILD date so you can confirm you're up to date.

App & Voice

The microphone keeps missing what I say

Use Google Chrome — its speech recognition is the most accurate. Speak after your engineer finishes; the mic re-opens automatically.

My engineer forgot our last session

Memory is stored in that browser. Use the same normal Chrome window on the same PC every time — Incognito keeps no memory. Cross-device memory arrives with accounts.

The page looks old / a feature is missing

Hard-refresh with Ctrl+Shift+R, or open a fresh tab.

何か問題が起きたら?(デバッグログの送り方) / Something went wrong? (how to send us the debug log)

デスクトップOMORAY-bridge-debug-〇〇〇〇.logというファイルがあります。起動するたびに新しいファイルが作られる(古いものも消えずに残る)ので、問題が起きたセッションに近い日時のものを選んでメールに添付して送ってください。特別な操作は不要で、デスクトップを見るだけです。
There's a file called OMORAY-bridge-debug-〇〇〇〇.log on your Desktop. A new one is created every time you launch the app (older ones stay put), so just find the one closest to when the issue happened and attach it to an email. No special steps — just look at your Desktop.
